Quanah Parker was famous as the last Native American to surrender to the US Government and for his leadership as the last chief of the Comanche Nation. He was a skilled warrior who initially resisted reservation life, but later became a prominent advocate for his people's well-being and assimilation into American society. He played a key role in transitioning his tribe from a nomadic lifestyle to reservation life, fostering education, and establishing economic opportunities. Quanah Parkers mother Cynthia Ann Parker was white and his dad was Peta Nocona a Comanche Chief. Quanah had blue eyes and at 6 feet tall towered over his people.
