THE ERADICATION OF POLIO

Rotary District 6000 of Iowa commissioned Dave Biehl of Elkhorn Nebraska to create a bronze sculpture depicting the involvement of Rotary International in helping to eradicate Polio in the US and around the world. Rotary and the WHO (world health organization) have joined forces to give out oral polio vaccine to millions of children. this sculpture is located in the gardens of the Blank Children's Hospital on the Methodist Campus in Des Moines Iowa.
