The riderless horse saddled with the hat over the saddle horn and the western boots reversed in the stirrups is a proud western tradition recognizing an exceptional person who has passed on and will ride no more. This particular bronze rendition of that tradition is a memorial to Bobby Gottsch Jr. who lived in Hastings Nebraska at the time of his passing.
